Humans are easy victims because we don’t have a clue which animals we should really be afraid of. We’ll flee in panic from a harmless spider, yet invite dogs and cats to live in our homes, despite the fact that over 86,000 of us end up in the emergency room each year when we trip over our pets. And other domestic animals are no safer. The woman in England who saw this escaped cow looking through her door was right to be afraid: about twenty people a year are killed by these allegedly placid bovines in the US alone.
